| 6400.46(d) | Direct Service Worker #1 did not have current training in first aid. | Program specialists, direct service workers and drivers of and aides in vehicles shall be trained within 6 months after the day of initial employment and annually thereafter, by an individual certified as a training by a hospital or other recognized health care organization, in first aid, Heimlich techniques and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation. | Corrective Action Plan- THRIVE Program Director and Human Resource Manager will arrange Direct care worker #1 and each new employees¿ deadline on their management teams¿ calendar to ensure they have CPR and First Aid completed within the 6-month time period and annual thereafter. THRIVE Program Director will ensure First Aid is apart of the training as well. CEO will follow up with the management team during monthly quality management meetings to ensure this is continuing to be completed. [Immediately, the CEO, or designee, shall train all staff responsible for hiring and training new staff on the requirement of first aid, Heimlich techniques, and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation training within 6 months after initial employment, as required by 6400.46(d). Documentation of training shall be kept. The CEO, or designee, shall conduct an audit of 25% staff training files quarterly for a period of one year. Documentation of the audit shall be kept.
