6400.21(b)New Hires- #2 At inspection, no FBI check or residency waiver provided for staff members. Residency was not established, and it could not be determined residence at employment. Staff listed another state on their applications, no FBI check found in record or provided.If a prospective employe who will have direct contact with individuals resides outside this Commonwealth, an application for a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) criminal history record check shall be submitted to the FBI in addition to the Pennsylvania criminal history record check, within 5 working days after the person's date of hire. All employee files were reviewed by the Human Resources to establish which current staff required FBI background checks. Through our review it was determined there was one staff person who needed the FBI Background check. The process to obtain those records is ongoing.
