The window, in the bathroom in the basement of the home, could only be opened approximately an inch; therefore, not providing ventilation. This window was impeded from opening by a curtain rod. In addition, there was not a screen in the window.Living areas, recreation areas, dining areas, individual bedrooms, kitchens and bathrooms shall be ventilated by at least one operable window or by mechanical ventilation. This was corrected on the day of inspection after licensing staff left. The curtain rod was relocated higher on the window so the window could open without impediment. 6400.66There is not a source of lighting at the outside doorway leading from the basement to the side of the home.Rooms, hallways, interior stairways, outside steps, outside doorways, porches, ramps and fire escapes shall be lighted to assure safety and to avoid accidents.
