Normal staffing conditions for the home is two staff during waking hours and two staff during overnight hours. The drill completed on 6/12/2022 included three staff. Fire drills shall be held during normal staffing conditions and not when additional staff persons are present. Program Specialist Supervisors will continue to train individuals and staff on the fire drill regulations, including the normal staffing conditions during fire drills. Only two of the four required observations were completed. Staff #1 has been passing medications since 4/12/2015. In a home serving eight or fewer individuals, a staff person who has completed and passed the Department's Medications Administration Course is permitted to administer oral, topical and eye and ear drop prescription medications. THE STAFF HAS NOT PASSED MEDICATIONS SINCE THIS ISSUE WAS DISCOVERED. SHE IS RETAKING THE MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION COURSE. AFTER ALL STEPS ARE COMPLETED AND DOCUMENTED, SHE WILL RESUME WITH ADMINISTERING MEDICATIONS.
