6400.174Per grocery store receipts supplied by the provider, shopping for the home is completed on a weekly basis and was last completed on 06/06/2023---three days prior to the on-site visit. At the time of inspection, the food stocked in the home, while comprised of food from all required food groups, contained food items from each food group that were insufficient to construct one meal per day containing at least one item from the dairy, protein, fruits and vegetables, and grain food groups. For example, the only meat in the home was frozen ground turkey and frozen shrimp, and the only dairy in the home was Lactose-Free milk and individually wrapped cheese slices. The fact that these items could be eaten during one sitting does not mean they could be considered as a balanced, well-prepared meal. Further, even if such meals were cooked, the quantity of items belonging to these two food groups in the home could not last until the home's next weekly shopping trip.At least one meal each day shall contain at least one item from the dairy, protein, fruits and vegetables and grain food groups, unless otherwise recommended in writing by a licensed physician for individuals. At the time of inspection, grocery was completed in the home 3 days prior. The individual's health and safety is our most priority as the individual has an eating D/O and is constantly eating (overeating) as stated by the PCP, thereby eating up a week's worth of food in 2 to 3 days or 3 days' worth of food in 1 day. Staff also reported that BL throws his food or groceries away when upset or does not get what he wants, he would prefer to cook independently and does not want to be assisted in portioning his meals. A team meeting was held to discuss this issue, the CEO decided to take up the task of sitting with BL to come up with his grocery list and encourage him to buy and eat healthy meals. The CEO purchases his groceries in order to keep track of the food he has in his home, until this issue is resolved. PCP appointment was scheduled and completed on 6/28/23 and was referred to geneticist to test for the Prada Willis syndrome. A freezer has been purchased to save excess food, but making sure he has at least one meal each day that contains at least one item from the dairy, protein, fruits and vegetables (balanced meal). 06/28/2023 Implemented
