| 6400.68(b) | The hot water temperature at the shower in the accessible bathroom measured 126.3°F at 11:06AM on 7/6/18. | Hot water temperatures in bathtubs and showers may not exceed 120°F. | A tempering valve will be installed on the hot water tank by 7/20/18. The temperature will be set in accordance with Chapter 6400 Regulations. Vice President of Facilities will be responsible to coordinate installation and ensure that it is completed. [On 7/25/18, the hot water tank was replaced in order get temperature properly set at all fixtures. The expansion tank was replaced and a new drip tube and gas flex connector were installed. The hot water temperature measured 117 degrees Fahrenheit on 7/26/18 and was set at 117 degrees Fahrenheit by the plumber at the new digitally controlled water heater. Continuing at least monthly, a designate staff person educated that hot water temperatures in bathtubs and showers may not exceed 120°F and the process for taking accurate measurement and adjusting hot water temperatures as required shall measure all the hot water temperature at all community homes bathtubs and showers and adjust as needed. Documentation of the temperatures shall be kept and reviewed by a designated management staff person at least quarterly for 1 year. (AS 7/27/18)] |
