| 6400.110(b) | On 11/15/2023 at 10:32 AM, an operable automatic smoke detector was not located within 15 feet of individual #1's bedroom. The closest smoke detector to individual #1's bedroom was located in the front entryway and measured 17 feet 8 inches from individual #1's bedroom doorway. | There shall be an operable automatic smoke detector located within 15 feet of each individual and staff bedroom door. | A battery operated smoke detector was installed by maintenance personnel outside of individual #1's bedroom door on the same day the violation was noted (11/15/23), putting the violation back into compliance. Photographic evidence was immediately provided to the licensing inspector by the Program Specialist. The fire protection company who installed the interconnected fire system was also notified on 11/15/23 by the Program Manager that the automatic smoke detector in the front entryway was not within 15 feet of individual #1's door and will have to be moved closer. The company is scheduled to do this by 12/31/23. |
