| 6400.68(b) | On 12/06/2022 the hot water temperature measured 125.7°F at 10:09AM at the bathtub faucet in the bathroom across from individual #1's bedroom. The hot water temperature measured 136.0°F at 10:12AM at the kitchen sink. | Hot water temperatures in bathtubs and showers may not exceed 120°F. | 1. The water temperature was lowered on the hot water tank by maintenance personnel when the violation was discovered by licensing on 12-6-22. The temperature was then checked 2 more times at all facets and showers that afternoon and did not exceed 120 degrees.
2. New water proof stem type thermometers were ordered from Amazon by the Program Manager on 12-6-22. They were delivered to The Arc on 12-12-22.
3. Anti-scalding protective devices on all showers in the house were checked by maintenance personnel on 12-13-22. All devices are in working order. This includes the shower across the hall from individual#1.
4. Anti-scalding devices located at all other homes are also being checked by maintenance personnel. The checks will be completed by 12-16-22. Any issues or adjustments will be corrected at the time of the check.
5. Maintenance personnel will keep a list of the checks and will meet with the Program Manager on 12-20-22 to discuss and address any larger issues. Any further repairs needing done will be completed by maintenance personnel by 12-30-22. |
