6400.62(a) | At the time of the 1/31/23 inspection, there were 2 gallon-size jugs of Fabuloso cleaner and a partial bag of ice melt unlocked in the garage, accessible to individuals in the home. Individuals #1-#3 are not able to safely avoid poisonous materials. | Poisonous materials shall be kept locked or made inaccessible to individuals. | At the time of the inspection, the box of cleaning supplies was moved to a locked area and the lock on the tool box containing ice salt was engaged by , CPO and Tim Morris, VP of HR and Operations (Attachment 1). A training was completed with the Chambersburg managers on 2/16/23 by , Quality Management Coordinator, surrounding this regulation (Attachment 8). On 2/17/23, , VP of Quality Management, updated the PDS community home review form and sent out to all staff to begin using for their weekly house checks. The question on the form was updated to include checking garages for poisonous materials and ensuring that the locks are engaged at all times when the poisons are not in use. A house check was completed at the home b on 2/17/23 showing that all poisons were locked and that all locks were engaged (Attachment 9). House checks were completed at the PDS homes showing that poisons were locked if indicated in the individuals ISP. A sample of these including were completed by , Quality Management Coordinator on 2/21/23 showing that poisons were locked if indicated in the individuals ISP (Attachments 10 and 11). |
