| 6400.112(a) | Individual#1 did not participate in March 27 or April 27, 2021's monthly unnanounced fire drill. The individual was on recommended bed rest during both the aforementioned fire drill dates but notification of bed rest was not sent to the fire department or regulatory agencies during this period.
A written evacuation plan was also not developed while individual#1was on recommended bedrest during a 6 week period between March and May of 2021. Up to date Individual and Staff responsibilities were not documented in policy or individual record. | An unannounced fire drill shall be held at least once a month. | The individual was on bed rest due to an injury and could not participate in fire drills. The JEVS team has written a plan to explain this and to instruct the staff that in the event of an actual emergency, that they are to evacuate the individual by reclining his wheelchair and transferring him into it, then proceeding to evacuate as usual.
