6500.135(g) | Individual #1's most recent review of medication prescribed to treat symptoms of a diagnosed psychiatric illness was completed on 5-6-21. | If a medication is prescribed to treat symptoms of a diagnosed psychiatric illness, there shall be a review by a licensed physician at least every 3 months to document the r reason for prescribing the medication, the need to continue the medication and the necessary dosage. | A Life Sharing Provider meeting is scheduled for March 23, 2022 wherein all providers of this service will be trained on regulation 6500.135(g) (training documentation will be emailed to licensing as proof once the training is completed) to include the importance of maintaining all medical appointments with specific focus on psychiatric medication management according to regulation time parameters, the need to continue the medication and necessary dosage. The providers will be reminded that all appointments must be completed as scheduled and should any conflicts arise, they are encouraged to reach out to their Family Living Specialists for support and assistance and that they should avoid cancelling or rescheduling appointments without first checking with their specialists who will assist in making sure that any rescheduled appointment occurs within the regulatory timeframe parameters. |
