Tuberculin skin testing may be completed and certified in writing by a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse instead of a licensed physician. | The Life Sharing provider #1 is scheduled for the soonest available physical examination on May 17, 2021 to include the administration and subsequent reading of a Tuberculin skin test by Mantoux method. 6500.135(a) | D3 25mcg(1000) iu Bone Health Dietary Supplement was administered to Individual #1 from 3/01/21 to 3/04/21 at 8:00AM without a prescription by an authorized prescriber. | A prescription medication shall be prescribed in writing by an authorized prescriber. | The Life Sharing Specialist retrained the Life Sharing Provider on the requirement of needing a prescription from an authorized prescriber for all medications administered as well as administering the prescription as written by the physician on 3/24/2021 (see attached documentation). The Life Sharing Specialist obtained a new, current prescription on 3/8/2021: Vitamin D3 125mcg (5,000 unit) capsule 125mcg PO 1 PO Wednesday and 1 PO Saturday, however, the provider continued to administer the mediation daily ¿ a medication error was reported through the EIM system; the provider was retrained and the medication will be administered properly starting 3/27/2021. The Life Sharing Specialist will review all medications monthly to ensure that there is a current prescription that matches the medication on the MAR, that the medications are documented and administered as prescribed and to ensure complete and thorough MAR documentation is demonstrated consistently. |
