| 6400.64(a) | A bar of soap was found in the shower in the common bathroom, not stored in a covered, labeled, container. | Clean and sanitary conditions shall be maintained in the home. | I have reviewed the 6400 regulations regarding conditions of the home being clean and sanitary. I understand that a bar of soap that is not in a labeled container could be mistakenly used by others. Staff was trained that if a bar of soap is purchased or requested by an individual it needs to be in a container with the individual¿s name on it.
On 6/27/19, the Program Supervisor and a staff member spoke to the individual that owns the soap. The individual explains that she prefers shower gel. So, staff purchased shower gel and replaced the bar of soap. Attached is a picture of the shower gel in the shower, where the bar of soap was previously. |
